Disappointing shopping experience
I have been a Limited shopper for over 10 years and I felt obligated to post a review. I was very disappointed by my shopping experience at the store yesterday.I was there during a non-busy time in the afternoon where I thought it would be quieter that I could peruse the store and spend time picking out some winter items as well as a birthday gift for my sister. I worked for the Limited Corporation years ago and at the time you were taught/told to greet everyone that came in the door and try to be of assistance. Also they really pushed a 3 item sale at least for their hourly reports. I bought 11 items well over that and was never asked about what I was looking for or given any suggestions. None of the girls asked if I was shopping for a gift (especially with the holiday season approaching) or if I was looking for something for myself. I used to love the experience and the staff at the Limited and kept me coming back in. The staff that is working at the Limited now is unfriendly and does not give you the shopping experience that fits the brand. I spent about $300.00 yesterday, which is low compared to what I have spent. The nicest person was the girl, who happened to check me out at the end and asked if I found everything that I was looking for. She must have just started her shift. The manager especially does not have any customer service qualities. She put my clothes that I was trying on in the fitting room, but at no point did she even knock on the door to see if I needed other sizes etc. It really was an awful shopping experience. I am thinking twice about going back into the store although I like being able to try things on and see what pieces work well together versus shopping online. I am not sure if others have had this experience and it has not been the first time in the last 6 months so that is my reason for writing this review. I really think that the regional manager needs to come in for the day to see what can be improved. I am not sure if secret shoppers are still as prevalent, but this is a store where I would be interested to see the results. I really hope they make some changes for the better, especially for regular shoppers like me. I just want it to go back to the experience like it was and like comparable stores like The LOFT and White House/Black Market where they seem happy that you are shopping at their store.
