Review for: woodhaven apartments in Syracuse, NY
on the up and up
I would just like to throw this out here to the internet world. I have lived at Woodhaven for the past 2 years, and am going on my 3rd and prior to Barrington Residential (the newest of the management companies running the property) I have had many reasons to complain. Up until very recently, we would never be able to get a maintenance person in the apartment to fix the list of things we gave to Mark when we signed our lease back in 2011. After he left the couple that started managing the complex was absolutely useless when it came to taking care of anything, we had to live with our heat on full all day for about a week because they didn t want to order the part that would allow our thermostat to communicate with the baseboard heaters...I feel like that is completely unacceptable. They would never shovel out any of the sidewalks or paths to the buildings, (I ended up doing our buildings on more than one occasion) making for very hazardous conditions, considering there were many older people in these buildings. Next, when the company GlassRatner took over, some improvements were made, and there was actually a presence on the grounds which was very nice. Things began to get addressed, and we could finally put a face to the signatures that were on all the notices they handed out. That brings us to the current company....Barrington Residential. We now have onsite maintenance, a physical body in the office all week, and not to mention a positive vibe that comes from each and every person they are employing. We are very happy to be signing our 3rd lease with the property, and confident that things will be taken care of as promised. We have already had to call on a few things, and had a person not only answer the phone in the office, but someone show up at our apartment as promised, THE SAME DAY, to address our issue. If they could not make it that same day, a phone call to us to let us know why and that they will be there the next day. Apartments are being updated, proper screening of prospective tenants is happening, I am confident to recommend this facility to anyone looking to move in, it is becoming that great place to live that we were promised 2 years ago!
