terrible veggies. terrible, always out of date, and if not , don't know what they do to them, but they go bad fast.!

Very surprised how I was treated by supposedly "Customer Service" - asked a couple of questions about PeaPod and how it works and just told to go online.

The store has a great location all the esentials but seems like every time I'm there it's packed with shoppers I mean packed takes longer to check out than it does to shop (more staff those night's like thurs/fri/sat ) other than that everything else is cool

"Once upon a time" customer could view weekly circular on line and make shopping list in 5 minutes..."that was once upon a time very long ago"...WebMaster see make shopping list at Big-Y...can still do in 5 minutes.

Stay away. Do not take returns. First manger says against state law (not true). Then she says well just against their policy

Extremely RUDE customer service at checkout!!! I was behind a customer who had gotten the wrong item, she had to go get the right item herself...when she left to do so, the young man cashier was making mockery remarks about her and when her friend defended her, he very rudely snapped at her!!! It's unbelievable that the store manager did absolutely nothing!!! I am totally appalled by the younger generation employed at this place, no manners or respect at all!!! My advice to everyone is go to another Stop n Shop location, with better customer service!!!

I was a costomer since the store opened on palmer ave, new rochelle. Being there this morning was not pleasant. Soon as you get in there is a very unpleasant smell (of pure dirt). The place needs some very theral clean up.

I heard of disrespect but i never knew a manager was able to downgrade and disrespect an employee on the sales floor.the kids there are very kind and express there feelings about managment .everyone seems unhappy.The lines were very long meat to expensive and ive decided i will travel miles away before i shop there again

O.K. for basics and deli, mediocre for meat, worse for fish, and beware the vegetables, often well past their best.

Store has looked a lot better as of late.outside lights are even on and in stocks seem better.what's going on.very unexspected

The store at this location is outdated & filthy! Their produce section is below par as it's almost as if they recieve what's leftover from the truck after the other locations were delivered to. If you can make it to the Charles/Main...do so!

This week marks my saturation point. I have HAD it! Your stores have gone to hell. The ONLY thing you have going for you is Boarshead in the Deli. I could practically write a dissertation on the downfall of your store. DONE!

They have a great selection of most items and are not hard to find

I asked the manager where could I find the hand soap and the SOB sent me to the wrong isle.

The staff at the Western Union do not know what the hell they are doing. They do not know the rules for sending money overseas. Please do not go to them as you will be wasting your precious time. They are absolutely useless as far as I am concerned. Take your business elsewhere.

I love this market un like the other major market in Hazlet this market offers far superior cold cuts (Boars head) wide aisles with the ability to self check yourself which makes it fast and easy. The prices contrary to what some believe are the same or cheaper then the other market down the road with just as good merchandise and much less chaotic. Excellent selection and customer service with quick check out make this a top pick.

Way overpriced, thinks their whole foods! Remodeled and stopped selling tons of items. Ripoff! Stopped going

The customer service clerks in the store are extremely nice and have good product knowledge. If they have a line they apologize and try to work quickly to remedy the issue. It is amazing to see good customer service these days. The customer servic people are more friendlier than the management.

The store is nice and clean. The people are more helpful now and the new scan Italy shopping easier.

Like the title says, the Arverne by the Sea Stop & Shop sucks. Most of the emplyees there are lazy, but I am not surprised because this Stop & Shop seems to hire some of the most ghetto people I've ever seen. Most of the females there sit around scratching their asses, chewing gum and wasting time conversating with other emplyees. The store is usually late on certain items and their healthfood section is a joke. -_- I no longer shop there. I'd recommend going to the Stop & Shop in Inwood L.I. Trader Joes or even Waldbaums on 116th street.

I do not shop at Stop and shop weekly, but when I am going to be in the area that is my store of choice. I love the selection in the produce and meat departments. I have also been lucky enough to find "new" items available. So I was recently disappointed when I was browsing the produce/fresh cheese/salad bar area. There was a very unpleasant smell. It was not the food, from what I could tell it was either the refrigeration units or the salad bar area. The food looked fresh, but the smell was such a turn off I would not buy cheese or fish. It reminded me of the "food network" show restaurant impossible, when the host complains that the old rugs smell or the kitchen has disscussting things hidden that the customer would never know! I am sorry to say, I am weary of returning to that branch. I hope that the right person may get this email and look into the situation and helpfully resolve what ever may be the cause. Thank you for this forum to voice questions and concerns.

I waited 10 minutes at the deli and with 3 servers not a single new customer had been served. At that time 2 servers left with 10 to 15 people waiting to be served. I complained to the Manager and he was full of excuses but not motivation for change or improvement. Totally lame.

One of the best stop and shop in boston the staff is very helpfull even when they change the store around.

Like the title says slowest deli counter ever. Workers are slow and mess around behind the counter takes forever to get anything. I have the time now while I wait to write this bad review
