My wife took our Toyota RAV4 in to the Shavertown Kost garage for an oil change and inspection. She sat there with 4 other women and everyone of the women were told they needed something extra done to their cars. My wife was told our brake pads were worn and rotors needed to be replaced to the tune of $625.45. She said her husband would get back to them. They reduced it to $600. because they said they did the oil change (I guess I better double check that). My wife insisted on a written invoice to show me. I purchased front and rear brake pads for $68. and had my father put them on the RAV. NONE or the pads were worn beyond 50% and the rotors were fine. What kind of place is this?? Whatever you do, do NOT go here especially if you are a woman.

I have been using Kost Tire in Kingston for almost 3 years for most of my mechanical needs AND for tires, too. They have always been fair, and take the time to explain what needs to be done in terms that I can understand. I know a little bit about cars, but I'm no mechanic. I am thankful I have a mechanic/mechanics on whom I can rely. BIG RELIEF!
