On March 31st of 2013, I brought my car in to Just Brakes to have my brakes checked. It was about 45 Mins. later when one of the service reps came out and told me he had some bad news. I was told that my brake system was contaminated. I didn't know what that meant. He brought out something that resembled a test tube. In it were two different shades of brake fluid. The dark shade was my brake fluid. I was flabbergasted. He showed me a piece of rubber that comes under the brake fluid cap. It was deformed. He said that it got that way from the contaminated fluid. I asked him what this was going to cost me to fix. He ran an estimate, and brought it out in just a few minutes. Are you ready for this? The estimate was $2767.14. This is not a joke. I have the estimate. The service rep even contacted my insurance to help me file a claim. He said my car was vandalized.The insurance company did come over and look at my car. They found the whole thing rather amusing. This entire event really scared me. I partially believed it. I was despondent for several weeks, didn't know what to do. I brought my car to Sears yesterday, and my brake fluid is ok. Had new pads installed, and my bill was $164.18. I had to share this story, it's disgusting.

Bad Business, stay away. 6 months ago went in for their special. Already had the brakes looked at by a different company and new it was just pads. They came up with several differnt problems that added hundreds to the bill. I instructed them to change the pads only at the special price. No problems. My wife only new the name and location not the situation. I'm out of town she takes her car in for the same deal. Left paying 1000.00. They told her the exact same story. Did not give her the bad parts..Took total advantage...

Ive had some bad experiences with my car in Killeen Tx. Im happy to say that Just Brakes were not among them.

I took my car into Just Brakes needing more work done than just brakes. I received excellent customer service. I felt very confident that the mechanics knew their job well. They gave me detailed explanations of work needed before starting. They completed their job well in a very timely mannor and above all I felt that the work they did was needed and not just to line their pockets. The manager actively took time out to come and explain procedures to me and tell me my options in a way i could understand, they left me feeling very confident in their work. As a military spouse who has to fend for herself often I am so very happy to find car mechanics who take pride in their profession. Well done Just Brakes .
