HATEFUL employees always act like you are a bother to them. Not many places to get sewing stuff in this area and Jo-Ann's know this and have you over a barrel. the rudeness is uncalled for, I hope to find another place to shop for my sewing needs....you just lost a great customer
I love coming here i come almost every week but i took of a star because there is never enough people running through the store you always seem to be running after someone for help.
I understand they are currently remolding. They could have done a better job before opening the store for customers and do not even get me started with the rude people that work there.

I needed a very specific fabric to finish a project I've been working on for some time. I asked Tammy for help in choosing the right material and matching trim. She went out if her way to make sure i got what i needed. She was very helpful, excellant customer service!
I Wanted to buy 2 yds,. each of a flannel fabric . The store associate told me it was store policy to only cut one piece for me.Really!
There's never anyone around to help you. The lines are always extremely long and the workers are rude and rarely ever smile. I'd definitely take the trip out to Michaels.
I'm really realy sad to have had TWO Jo'Ann's in my neighborhood leave in the past several years...the one on Indian School & 36th St. now the Pavillions store. I cannot believe we don't deserve one closer to the 85018 zip code! The Pavillions store had a GREAT woman in the framing department....every piece I had her design for me came out beautifully for a reasonable price. Please bring a stroe back to our area with Carolann along with it (I think that was her name). I won't make the trip to way way north or way way south...much too far.
I've been going here for years to get my supplies. Why are you guys moving to Merrillville where there are other craft stores? We need something like you here in our area. If I have to go to Merrillville to get supplies, I will go to Hobby Lobby out there. You're losing a lot of customers. It's sad.
I brought a watercolor of the Alamo, as we know it today, to Jo-Ann Fabrics for framing. I also had a framed art work of the 1836 Alamo that I wanted in a similar mat and frame to hang as a companion piece. Angela waited on me and immediaetly caught the spirit of my plan and selected a mat and frame for the watercolor to perfectly complement the older piece. The completed framing of the watercolor is exquisite and so lovely thanks the gifted and talented young Angela. She was off the day I picked up the item, but I went back to the store on another day just to thank that lovely young woman who created a treasure that will be appreciated in our family for generations to come. I went there and a female cshier was talking to much and making a lot of questions and making big conversations with the people in front of me I took forever to pay
We went to this store today Aug 10, 2013, and found it is out of business. The sign has been removed, and the building interior has been stripped bare.
When ever I need any kind of craft materials I go here because its quick easy and friendly .
Once again your store is just a bigger disappointment, you have nothing that is in your ads and blame corporate perhaps Lincoln store should not send out sale flyers if they are not going to have any of the advertised specials!

This store doesn't exist anymore. It was a great store.
Worst customer service in the business. They told me they had a particular fabric in stock over the phone, in fact they said they had a whole collection; they didn't. Nothing even remotely close. I drove an hour and a half to get there. No apologies or explanations. Employees brushed me off and ignored me. This is the most careless, apathetic, spoiled staff I have ever encountered.

Have been to your new store twice. I cannot believe that such a beautiful store has such poor service. The first time when I went to check out there was one person ahead of me. I waited 30 minutes before being able to pay for my purchase. Today, I loaded my cart and had approximately $100.00 of fabric in the cart. I stood and waited for two clerks to take care of two customers for 30 minutes and finally gave up and left the full cart in the aisle. I can go to Hancocks and after getting my purchases cut and paid for be on my way in no time at all.
I never review stores but just had to do it for this store. I purchased a fabric that has small rows of ruffles on it and got it home and it had places that were sewn wrong making it useless. I thought this was just a one time problem as they returned the fabric but I purchased another kind of fabric that I made a dress out of and when completed I found there was a cluster of holes in the fabric. I am wondering if they are selling seconds instead of the quality product that Joanns is known for.

The girls there need to be more aware of ehat they are doing when they measure. They do it so fast like they cant be troubled and thats when things go wrong like being charged for more fabric than I got. Its just a good thing I had enough for my project.
Yesterday I went to JoAnn's to pick up a few items and was extremly disappointed to find that I was unable to redeem a 40% off coupon because I do not own a smartphone and thus could not scan the coupon. I have shopped at JoAnn's for years and found this to be unacceptable. To the credit of your staff they were courteous and professional. Please note that I elected to make my purchases at one of your competitor's stores. A store that did not require my owning and using a smartphone. I hope your headqurarters marketing staff reconsiders this strategy.
Last week while shopping at Jo-ann 825n. dodson rd. in Az, I somehow left a very small bag of purchased items along with a mailer coupon. Today, I received an envelope in the mail with the items and the coupon (which had my address on it) Can you believe it? Thanks to the employee (unknown to me) that mailed this off to me. I appreciate it.
Want to buy something? It's not in stock even though there are hang tags prominently displayed on the floor ( the kind you present at the checkout for the salesperson to retrieve from a locked area). AND as an extra benefit, you get to wait and wait and wait and wait forever until they finally announce the items are not in stock. Don't shop at this location.
I frequent the Joann's in Ramsey N.J. I agree with you about the employees . It must be poor management skills . I too have had my dealings with them. The problem is they are really the only fabric chain store around and corporate knows that we have nowhere else to go ... And if that isn't bad enough, I have to travel 35 mins to go there. I think I'm going to start to order online, so I won't have to deal with the poor customer service skills.

Went here tonight, said hello to clerk and she just looked at me and never said a word. So much for being friendly, she made me feel very small. She was too busy trying to get the sales on the computer that customers were not her top priority. I spend 100's of dollars in this store almost every month. I wanted to let you know that she just made me want to shop elsewhere. Just letting you know that I will no longer be buying yard goods in this store. May still use my 40% coupons in desperation. Major disappointment, and felt brushed off like lint.
I have to agree w the comment regarding the staff - over the 15 yrs I've been going there, there have been a couple of nice sales associates, but in general, there is an attitude of disdain. Not sure where this is coming from - maybe it's reflecting the management's style of doing business?
The Kingston Joann Fabric store has the most horrible staff in the area. They do everything they can to avoid you and when you do find someone to ask a question, you get attitude. I've seen it from just about everyone that works in this store. I had to give it a one star rating because it wouldn't let me rate lower.

since they have moved the store is light, & bright inside & every department was expanned. They have alot more than the old store. Customer service has improved as well. A much better check out system than before.
I have shopped at this store since I became a qyuilter 10 yrs ago. I have had the best service you could ever ask for every time. The workers are more than helpful and I always enjoy my visits to this store. Koodos to the staff!!!
