Me and a friend of mine went in for basic services ie oil change and had more issues when we left!!!
I was in the area for 2 months at Keesler AFB and got an oil change here at Good Year. A few days later I popped my hood because my light came on in my car and saw that they had broke the handle on my my dip stick and had taped it back on with electrical tape. This busted piece had now caused the dipstick to not stay in and close properly. It was now sitting up out of the hole. Thanks for your honesty and not even telling me. You Could have atleast told me and offered to pay for a new dipstick.
I bought my tires at this shop. I thought I was getting a good tire at a decent price. I was wrong. I got the news that all of my lugnuts were bad. I told them that I wasn't paying $190.00 for 20 lugnuts!. I told them to put the old tires back on and I would go else where. They told me that they couldn't do that. So I had to cave and end up paying for the dicounted nuts ($170.00). I will never go there again and my even picket them when the weather clears. Buyer beware. they are scam artists.
One of my tires were low on air & needed a rotation anyway so I dropped my car off and went to lunch and ran errands for a couple of hours until my car was ready. (I also added an oil change). I went to pick it up and my "Check Tire Pressure" light was still on, so I walked back in to tell them about it. The response was to drive over 30 miles an hour & it'll go away. I drove 40 miles an hour along Ambassador and the light was still on so I went back again for the third time. The gentleman told me to drive it around and they'll take a look at it again. The service guy told me HE FORGOT TO PUT AIR IN THE TIRE!!!!! He told me he forgot because he was "too busy." The reason I was there in the first place! He didn't apologize, he just said, "my bad." They were sending me back home to New Orleans, a 2 1/2 hour drive on the Interstate with a low tire! DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!
On a Wednesday, my wife made an appointment online to have Integrity tires installed on the following Monday for $79/tire. According to Goodyear's website those tires should be in stock at any location given 48 hours notice. On Monday this location made my wife wait 2 hours before obtaining the tires we ordered. Those tires did not fit. Instead this location sold my wife the Fuel Max tires. After keeping her their for two hours Goodyear explained what happened and suggested they install the Fuel Max tires. The Fuel Max tires, surprise surprise, were the most expensive tires they prescribed for our vehicle at the time. That day, after I got off of work, I called up this location and wanted the difference refunded. The store manager explained that he split the difference with my wife and that he could do nothing else. He refused to refund the difference, offer store credit or allow a refund in full. The biggest problem I have is at the time my wife made the appointment the Fuel Max tires were not an option for our make and model. There is nothing we personally could have done to prevent this. I contacted the corporate headquarters and received no response. Goodyear does not conduct business ethically nor are they concerned about creating a positive customer experience. However they found the problem and saved me hundreds of dollars. I go there on a regular basis and they have always been helpful. Dan the service manager makes the extra effort to save me money. Mike the store manager is helpful and like a member of the family. They both are great. I am now a lifetime customer.
