Review for: Coinstar in Rancho Cordova, CA
Convenience versus cost
Although it is convenient I feel like I’m getting ripped off as I’m sure the machines are already paid for and the cost only goes up.

My daughter went in to cash her change to help buy items for her infant son when she got her ticket it said she made a donation and kept her sixty dollars. So thank you coin star for taking away from a single mom who is trying to raise her son. Hope you feel good about yourself. So if anyone is reading this think twice before you put your money in a coin star machine you never know who will end up with your money.
Even though the service is convenient, the rates are getting to high. I am not sure if the convenience is worth the cost. 11 cents per $1 is steep when you are saving change for a year.
Have had good luck using coinstar, can get cash or gift card for the store without any fees...
It's very helpful!
I love Coinstar because it's so convenient. I hate having to keep track of how much change I have and standing in line trying to count it. I like being able to just dump my coins out and receive dollars in place. I don't like paying a fee to have my change counted, especially when I already know how much is there, but it's better than having to carry it around everywhere. I like that the machines are always accurate and the attendants are polite and willing to help those that need it. Overall, I would recommend Coinstar any day.
I used Coin Star this last Sunday 4/14 at the Stater Brothers in Poway. Half way through the coin drop, the machine broke down. I understand that anything mechanical can break down. I came back today 4/17, I started the process, and after .61 had been declared, the machine stopped again. That's poor service!
Every thing was good, nice and easy to cash my change but I think it was kinda expensive to do use it. They took like 4.00 out of cashing in like 40.00. But I gues there's a price to pay for everything.
