I was very dissatisfied with the overall unprofessionalisam of the deli dept. inability to take a simple sub order. I called for a sub order for lunch. I was put on hold 3 times by 3 different people. Heres how it went " Hello, I would like to order a sub" 1st person " one moment please" 2nd person " hello, can I help you" Yes I would like to order a sub" "one moment please" 3rd person " Hello can I help you" "Yes I would like to order a sub" "What kind?" " Can you tell me the sizes and price of the subs" I hear 3rd person say "Hey, he wants to know what the prices are" On hold again. Finally he comes back and tells me the price. I order, go the the store to pick it up. My fault for not looking in the bag to check our what I payed for. 1) I ordered wheat bread, I got white 2) the sliced turkey was about 1/4 inch thick 3) the cheese was about 1/4 inch thick If I wanted to be treated this way, I would have gone to one of the obnoxious counter people a Kroger, not what I would expect from Publics. In this day when food is so expensive and retailers are competing for each others business, Publics would be wise to keep a closer eye on their people who serve the public
