Horrible Customer Service
I shop at Ann Taylor Loft frequently (They receive $$$ of my business), mostly online, but I am sad to say that this location left a horribly bad taste in my mouth. So much so that I've considered halting my business with the brand until management becomes more proactive in handling the attitudes of their hourly employees. Maria was completely out of line when I tried to make a return. She wasn't interested in my concerns or willing to provide assistance. I understand her limitations as an hourly worker, but her attitude was the problem, not her inability to do what I was asking (look up a receipt on her computer). Smug is the best way I can describe her overall demeanor--smiling while I was visibly frustrated in a mockingly demeaning way, making sarcastic comments, etc. Hugely disappointed in this individual and how she poorly reflected on the brand.
