Bad Experience

I left LA Fitness today for good, the staff mainly Mr Gordon, is very rude and the cleaning lady is a stocker, she loves gossip and she tries to be friends with the members instead of cleaning, she has very low manners and doesn't do her job well. I was accused for something I didn't do like breaking the knob in the sauna. They claimed I broke it when the cleaning lady did and they have scared people away. Several friends of mine left to go back to Mountainside Fitness where they really know how to treat members well. Don't go to LA Fitness Las Sendas.

Extremely insulting customer service

Worse customer service where lake success NY location Marcus Ave manager Jonathan told me to GET OUT from the club as I don't have the access to the club,when I asked them why L A fitness people lied to me when selling the membership,that I need access to multiple club through out because the only way I will sign up for membership,as I fly very often. Been to the same club a day before and few months ago was no problem at all. Above all it was raining so hard I had to wait for my brother to pick me up for 30 mins out in that rain as i was just visiting NY and he dropped me. My whole family brother sisters,mom and many family friend go to L A fitness but they have the worse customer service I have ever received in my life.

TOO MANY LEAVE ROOM

You guys need to clean the smell of your gym. There are few gyms of yours that smell good. The teachers are inconsistent and should train together to form a consistency like the title L.A. that you represent. Can you see where I am going with this. If you use a city as a title you have to represent a union and working and social peaceful force in a workout. And work on cleaning the pool, I would do research on pool maintanence if I were you. But I had an ok time reading in the lobby, its ok there sometimes and I think you should also have a disibility program for people that are disabled.

Horrible! And I'm not even religious! Spoke to 3 different people in corporate, and each one had/has a different answer. Phone hung up on me twice and was never called back, so that is when I called, and that is why I had to talk to 3 different people. Don't even want to give you a star. Maybe a fly, since your services are stink like s#*%!

no where to change

I recently went to la fitness for the first time as they purchased the club that i normally attend. I was very disappointed in their club. There was no changing room. I like to change out of my clothes to shower and use the sauna also to be able to get dressed and use my creams and lotions without being exposed to the world. I suggested that they put in a couple of changing rooms but was told to use the shower stall instead, not only is there no where to set but the stalls are of course wet and i am trying to put on my dry clothes to go to work / I was informed they la fitness has no changing rooms and that was the way it would always. not real customer service. also the shower stall entered to use the floor was full of hair, really sanitary .overall my experience wiht la fitness really stunk:!!!!!!!!

Customer Value?

I have been requesting that the hazardous dust from the vents in a spinning room be cleaned and have had no response. OSHA says that this is unacceptable. After months of talking to the cleaning crew, in english and Spanish!, the front desk and the instructors I finally approached the manager and she sheepishly replied I have not been told. Does it really have to reach the branch manager? Guests in the Spinning classes have had to ask others to refrain from loud conversation during the classes, due to the obvious lack of interest from the instructor. It is bad enough that the instructor is not ensuring that customers are ensured a pleasant experience while participating in activities at the gym, they disrespect members constantly by arriving late to class of starting class late while they get ready and socialize with other members. Finally, since the club has a policy that 14 years may make use of the gym, they should have strict enforcement of profane music during their aerobics classes. Instructors may be best served by refraining form using the explicit versions of songs during class. For almost every class there is a version that is clean for use in a public setting. I use the club in Valencia, but am sure that these practices are occurring frequently in other locations based on the postings over that past few months. If these issues are not corrected I will have to ask that the contract be voided and that I be reimbursed for the period I have been subject to this behavior.

worst mangers ever

I have made numerous complaints to the managers about a group of guys who come in every day, bring blue tooth speakers to play there music thru so everyone has to listen to there there ghetto music and everyone is fed up with it. It a brand new club in Gaitherbsurg MD and the management is pathetic, they have made no attempt to resolve this issue...Not only do we have to listen to there music but listen to there fowl mouths of f this f that every day.....Im 43 years old and have been in gyms since the age of 16 and this is the worst run gym franchise I have ever been in my life....LA Fitness is horrible!!!!!!

Mismanaged/Unethical, San Marcos LA Fitness)

My fiance signed up for personal trainer. Entire contract signed was via computer. They never printed it out or emailed contract to her. What was verbally explained to her was totally different in the contract so now she was scammed into a long term, expensive contract. The San Marcos LA Fitness Center Manager was obnoxious/confrontational admonishing my fianace telling her it was all was her fault she did not ask for copy of the contract. We want out of this scam. Buyers beware, the San Marcos LA Fitness Center is mismanaged and unethical! I actually feel like we have been robbed!!

Timing of repairs

I am a member of LA Fitness in Lakeland, Fl. My review is that the hot tub is under repair always during the water aerobics class time. This makes it unable to use while taking classes. The afternoons do not have classes yet, they choose to repair during class time. The water level in the pool is low many times which causes more impact on the joints when exercising. It is also not heated many times during class time but can feel the water get warmer when class is over. I love coming to the club and enjoy my time there. I especially like using the hot tub after exercising. This has happened at least 3 or 4 times since the first of the year. I have pictures to attach but see no place to do that. sanitary conditions

I have been a member of LA Fitness for 7 years now. On many occassions the restroom conditions are disgusting at the Del Amo facility. They have a large staff there but they can't keep the restroom sanitary. Out of paper towels and toilet paper. The bathrooms are totally disgusting. I hope the health department steps in and does something soon.

i was at the lafitness in allen park and friday there where three guys and the did not clean at all they walked around and when i go there during the week mon tue wed thur i know it is clean because jennifer she is always cleaning and she does not stop . she needs to be told and give her a rasie because she is good i wish they would have her there on friday morning i love her .thanks please do something and let her manger no she does a good job thanks again deb

Childcare

When I joined LA fitness 2 weeks ago, I told the sales person I was a single mother and the childcare is not always open. I asked if my 9 year old daughter could sit in the chair up front and use an iPad or something. He said that was no problem. When I went to workout today, the kids club was closed and the girl told me I couldn't leave her there because it was a liability issue. I told them I would sign a waiver, but they refused. Now I have a gym membership that I can hardly use because of the limited hours of childcare availability. I have signed a waiver at other work out places and it had not been a problem. She's too young to even ride an exercise bike and I am very disappointed in the lack of support for their members.

The scam lives

I feel vindicated after reading all of the above comments. I'm a former Bally's member who's betwixt and between. I heartily agree with all of the comments I read. People like me have been shafted one too many times. The only reason I remain a member is because there's one former Bally's gym near my son's school which actually allows me to work out there. It amazes me that L.A. Fitness has gotten away with screwing over former Bally's members like me, as well as providing the kind of dismal, rude non-service they continue to provide. One more example of how mega-corporations in this country can do as they please, no matter who they damage. F--- L.A. Fitness!

Lack of response

I have been a member of LAF for about 12 years. There is not one water fountain at the Conway @ Michigan location that has a working refrigeration unit. I have asked about this many times over the last 6 months. Nothing has been done. Many of the water fountains do not even work properly.

I tried calling the customer service number. What a joke. Does not even ring. I also read the other comments. It is obvious that upper mgt could care less about their customers

dissatisfied

I went to a Pilates class that was supposed to be at 8:00 I drove 25 min to get to this location as it is the only one in my area that has this class. no one ever showed to teach the class. after about 20 min passed I went to the front desk to find out what was going on. the front desk person said well she didn't call off so I assume she's coming, then she say's but if she's not here by now she's probably not coming. I said "well there is other people in the fitness room who you might want to tell class is cancelled". She responded they'll get the message in a while when no one shows. WOW!!! This is what I paid for

Worst staff attitude ever

Location: Renton landing, WA We walked in to see what kind of membership deal they have. Upon arrival the rude sale person named Ben asked u to take sheet and showed us piece of paper listing membership pricing. I he never explain anything until we ask and this "u join or what" attitude really was unpleasant.

As we leave other rude staff said to us "Too expensive?" with with mean smile. LA fitness, shame on you. So not professional.

Mopping the floor

It's really disgusting to be working out when an LA fitness employee brings out a mop and bucket and starts to clean the floors during the hours the club is open. I understand the need for cleanliness but believe members would be better served if this was done before opening or after closing. The club is located in Mt. Prospect Illinois.
