LabCore: 545 John Knox rd. Tallahassee, Florida NO sign up for clean catch. Not consistent in handing out towelettes. I actually had to ask for one after talking to my doctor's office. I was subjected to two unnecessary trips back for urine tests. Had to purchase and take medication I didn't need and am being charged for those two test. Four months later I go back and guess what I was questioning myself, but again the girl at the desk didn't offer me a towelette and I went ballistic. All I got was the towelette I should have been given in the first place. I'm angry / very angry!!
I arrived at LabCorp at 2100 Gervais Street, Columbia SC at 4:35 a quoted by the "receptionist". I was told that the office was closed as she pointed to a taped piece of paper on the door indicating the office hours had changed from 5:00 to 4:30 pm. She DID NOT offer any further assistance at all but proceeded to sign in a caucasian gentleman that had just come in the door before me. The man was literally just signing in!!! I insisted on information on any other clinic that stayed open later since it was obvious that I wasn't going to get any service there. The "receptionist" gave me a sheet of information for all six of the Colulmbia LabCorps. I was told to go to the Highland Center office because they stayed open until 5:00pm. In traffic, this is a good thirty minute drive! I arrived there ten minutes til 5:00 only to find it already closed. I knocked on the door until someone answered. I informed them that I was sent by the Gervais Street location. The woman proceeded to tell me that ALL locations are well informed that ALL locations are close at 4:30. Since LabCorp has a corporate contract with the company for which I needed lab work done, much better service should be rendered to their clients, not customers but clients!!
My insurance requires me to use Labcorp and my experience has been poor. I called the Annapolis office today to get clarification for a specimen kit that had instructions that were confusing - the instructions did not match the kit contents and some of the instructions that came with the contents. The woman who answered my call explained what I should do but when I expressed frustration that her instructions were different than what was in the kit, she was rude and curt with me. Customer service? Not acceptable. And who will follow up with the issue of handing out kits with incorrect instructions?
I spent an hour trying to get to talk with someone about my standing order. The phone would ring and ring - then it would hang up on me. I tried to call my local LabCorp and just a recorded message. If my insurance took any other lab I would change immediately.
I drove 40 minutes away to the labcorp facility in Magnolia Texas down 1488 because it was the only lab near me that was open on Saturday.(so I wouldn't have to take off work) I set up my appt. online, and when I got to the room , it was locked. There was a note on the door that said," Labcorp Magnolia is now closed on Saturdays effective immediately." Next to that sign was a very misleading sign that said ," hours mon-sat. 8-12." I didn't receive a courtesy call that my appt. was void or anything. I was very upset, and I'm pregnant so it multiplied those emotions. I can't speak for all labcorps, but this one location(even though the building was nice and clean) ruined my whole day.
Ms. Ellis drew my blood on Thursday, 10/11/12 at the Chalmette location.
She was a pleasure and handled herself very well.
Just wanted to say that she is an asset to Labcorp.
